Hi, I have a 2023 Model 3 Performance US version. They say I can use Dexron 6 ATF for Drive unit fluid. Can I use Redline D6 ATF since it satisfies Dexron 6?

Take it to the junk yard. It’s a N/A it’s worthless. The vr4 is the only version of this that’s worth an engine rebuild. Now here’s what is sad about this particular story. Most likely, The owner is going to do this ghetto engine freshen up by replacing the spun bearing with a new bearing which will never be within spec because the crankshaft journal is damaged as well. So the owner will change the spun bearing, then he or she will sell/dump this car on someone else and pass it off as a good running car. I see this all the time

I looked at my Wife's car last night and the same thing happened to her. The caliper started dumping brake fluid everywhere because the thing that puts pressure on the pads was fully extended. The pad was missing on the outside and the inside was worn to nothing and the whole caliper was loose. Luckily no longterm damage once the caliper piston or whatever it is called was C clamped back into place, it held the brake fluid, but definitely scary.

Only service you need is tire rotation and to change air cabin filter. On my second Tesla never had a problem.

As a previous Tesla technician years ago I can verify and tell you that Tesla did not use "special lifting pads" to raise customers vehicles. Only time pads were used is when HV battery replacements were performed.

You do not need a tool except for a pick. Pull off the plastic cover and it has a lock pin like old school crank windows. It’s easy.

Model 3 long range tire rotation is it only front to back?

I just did my front brakes. People say back caliper pins don’t need cleaning if they’re still bouncy. I’m going to be doing those next weekend. I plan on taking pins out to clean and re lube. Not using brakes is almost just as bad as always using them (not really )

Mate never seen a single mechanic bleed brakes by removing just the fluid in reservoir. In 20+ years never seen it before .

Good video. The problem is that sometimes places charge for diagnostic time but they actually guess what it is, and a couple months later the problem is back. A year and a half ago I was charged 279.00 dollars for changing this same part on a 2017 Jeep Patriot. Check engine light is back on with same P0456 code for the 3rd time now.
